What do fleas look like?
Fleas are those tiny external parasites that you see creeping through your pet’s fur. They are often mistaken for a fleck of debris. Brown to black in color, fleas do not have wings but their powerful back legs allow them to jump approximately 6 inches straight up. With exceptional jumping prowess, fleas easily move from host to host and into your home.
Are fleas dangerous?
Yes, fleas can be dangerous. They will bite their host (this could be you or your pets) in order to feed and those areas could become irritated and infected. They are also in-between hosts of tapeworm, which can infest cats and dogs, and rodent tapeworm, which can infest humans.
